Program Description

"Sad Story & Rescue of a Cozy MKIV"

By Don Berlin

Building a Cozy was just the start for Don Berlin [KRYN]. Now he is combining a Cozy III and a Cozy MKIV which experienced an off runway incident into a rebuilt Cozy MKIV. Hidden behind his Long EZ in the hangar is the future Cozy MKIV, looking like a space shuttle for the moment. Don explains the purchase, the parting and the rebuilding process.

"Composite Strong"

By Marc Zeitlin

Just how strong are these "plastic" airplanes? Marc Zeitlin [KTSP] explains his static test of a derelict VariEze to determine G-Loading capabilities. He loads the wing to failure and applies his MIT magic to come up with our potential. Presents other testing on Long-EZ's and Cozy's that has (and hasn't) been done, and what all of that implies for the structural capabilities of these aircraft.

"Up, Up & Away"

By Dave Ronnenberg & Don Robinson

What's new in Berkuts? Dave Ronnenberg & Don Robinson are developing a new lightweight aerobatic Berkut. They will share the genesis of the idea and the progress to date. Hear their expectations and methods to achieve.
